A ceremony for mothers who are ready for a new chapter in their lives after opening their hearts and bodies to give birth to new life.
About the ceremony
Six to twelve weeks after the birth of the child, or when the mother is ready, the ceremony is performed, in an environment where the mother feels safe and calm, most often in her home.
The ceremony is intended as a time for the mother to close a certain chapter in her life and open up certain energies to take with her into the upcoming task. The ceremony is for the mother to go inward, reflect on the spiritual, physical and emotional journey that motherhood will bring her, support her in releasing emotions related to pregnancy, birth or motherhood.
There are two of us who come and perform the ceremony. Many rebozo shawls are laid out on a soft surface, where you can make yourself comfortable. The shawls are first used to massage one part of the body at a time as a kind of rocking, during which there is great peace in the space. After that, each shawl is wrapped tightly around the body and then loosened again.
The space is often prepared to create a cozy atmosphere, depending on the mother's taste and wishes, such as fresh flowers, appropriate music, essential oils, sage incense, or other items.
Before the ceremony, we take time to chat and bring tea for those who want to drink. After the ceremony, it's good to take some time to take it easy.

We strive to create a calm and safe environment where there is space to experience what is. The ceremony can be expected to take about 90-120 minutes in total. We are flexible with location and time so please contact us and we will find a time.
